Aesop
Aesop was founded in Melbourne in 1987 and built its identity around plant-derived ingredients, restrained typographic packaging in amber glass and plastic, and heavily art-directed retail spaces. The range covers cleansers, serums, hand and body products, hair care and home fragrance.
From a formulation point of view the signature is aromatics: many products are scented with essential oils and botanical extracts rather than being fragrance-free. That is an aesthetic decision, not a safety flaw, but it is the most useful thing to know before buying. Fragrance components, essential oils included, are among the more common contact allergens in cosmetics, so reactive, eczema-prone or currently irritated skin may be more comfortable with unscented alternatives.
As with any label, judge the individual product rather than the brand story. Read the INCI list, check that the actives and textures match what your skin actually needs, and patch test a new leave-on product on a small area first. Nothing here is an endorsement of a brand or a specific product.
