Aestura

Aestura sits in the dermocosmetic segment of the Korean market: products presented with a clinical, low-irritation framing and often distributed through pharmacies and hospital channels at home. It belongs to the Amorepacific group, and the line it is best known for centres on ceramide-based moisturisers for a compromised skin barrier.

The formulation logic is typical of barrier care rather than unusual: ceramides alongside other skin-identical lipids, humectants such as glycerin, and simple bases that are frequently fragrance-free with relatively short ingredient lists. Products in this category are meant to be layered under or instead of actives during the periods when skin feels dry, tight, flaking or reactive.

Barrier moisturisers can make dry, itchy skin considerably more comfortable, but atopic dermatitis and eczema are medical conditions: cosmetics support the skin, they do not treat disease, and flares that spread, weep or keep returning need a doctor. Formulas and product names also differ between the domestic Korean and export ranges, so check the actual INCI list and patch test before applying widely.
