Armani Beauty

Armani Beauty is the beauty division of Giorgio Armani, operated under a long-running licence by L'Oréal's luxury division. It launched in the 1980s with fragrance and expanded into colour cosmetics and, later, skincare, positioned in the prestige segment alongside other designer beauty lines.

The range is best known for complexion products — foundations and cushions with a satin, skin-like finish — and for fragrances that have become long-lived pillars of the category. Skincare sits in a smaller line of creams and serums, and several complexion products carry an SPF rating.

Designer beauty lines are formulated by the same large manufacturers that supply mass-market brands, so price and prestige do not predict how a formula will behave on your skin. Read the ingredient list rather than the branding, and if a complexion product lists SPF, treat it as a bonus rather than as your main sun protection.
